DIVINE MAITLAND-SMITH – “the life of the party last night.”

Honestly, I think a lot of sexy experiences happen because of alcohol—beer included.

I’m speaking for a lot of people when I say it helps encourage sexual intimacy.

But it depends on the kind of intimacy you’re after. If you’re looking for a long-term relationship, then you don’t really drink just for the sake of a little sexy time. But if it’s a one-time thing, then “Yeah, let’s drink!” is definitely apt for the moment.

Screen Shot 2014-12-22 at 9.19.10 PMFor me, the craziest I’ve gone with alcohol was that one time at a party when I brought everyone to the pool—and stripped. I did something like that in PBB, but I only undid my top—and I don’t think they ever aired it.

The other time was at a fiesta, where I was invited to deejay and sing at the Sugar Coast Beach Bash in Bacolod. They brought in a lot of musicians from Manila, too—about 20 of us, and we all just kind of hung out together.

Screen Shot 2014-12-22 at 9.18.42 PMWe started at about 6 p.m., and I was drinking during and in-between sets—so basically, the whole night. There was a lot of hard alcohol, but I hung on to my bottle of beer—no, bottles. I think I probably had around seven beers that night, but it was a long night, so let’s put the final number at, well, more than just a few.

Later in the evening, everyone was getting lazy and sleepy. I think everyone was hiding their own drunkenness, but I was so drunk that I had this idea, and just started screaming: “Guys let’s go to the pool!” And then I ran, took my clothes off little by little on the way to the pool, and everyone followed.

Screen Shot 2014-12-22 at 9.18.50 PMMy attire was composed of a singlet, jeans, and boots. The details are a bit hazy, but by the time I reached the pool, only my Calvin Klein underwear and a black, see-through bra remained. The guys took their shirts off, and the girls stripped to their bras, and we all jumped in the pool. It wasn’t a full-strip or skinny-dipping but these were people who I didn’t completely know yet. I mean, the people who jumped in the pool were my friends; we all knew each other or heard of each other, or we’ve said hi before—but that was the extent of our friendship.

They were friends, but they weren’t the kind of friends who have seen me in my underwear, yet here I was, jumping in the pool with nothing but a see-through bra, with them.

The morning after, people were coming up to me saying, “D! You were the life of the party last night!” And I was, like, “What? I don’t know what you’re talking about.” And of course, they’d remind me: “I remember you stripped.” and I was like, “Okay, I remember that…”
